Raffles Policy
Resident participation in raffle draws is entirely voluntary
Raffles are held monthly, with cash and/or other prizes (i.e. meat trays, vouchers etc.) paid from the value of the tickets sold (i.e. the prize-pool). Multiple cash prizes of $100, $50 and other amounts are paid each month.
A cash jackpot prize of $100 is also offered at the monthly HOA Raffle Night, in addition to other prizes. A Villa number is drawn and if the Home Owner or Authorised Occupant is not in attendance on the night, the cash prize jackpot is increased by $100 for the next month until such time as a winner is in attendance at the draw.
A $200 cash jackpot is also offered at the monthly HOA Villa Draw, in addition to other prizes, and is partly funded by a cash donation from the Harrison Motor Group. Villa numbers are drawn until a winning Home Owner or Authorised Occupant, in attendance on the night, claims the prize.
The conduct of raffles to support fund raising activities for planned and publicised charity events is also supported by the HOAC. Raffles or fund raising events for special interest groups are not conducted, for the following reasons:
